As the days tick down, I’ve decided I’m not going to go through my vox videos and private messages looking for stuff I have to save. Maybe I’ll regret it some day, but that’s my problem.
In other news – nothing. 🙂

I also imported my vox into Typepad as a holding repository. I can go through it at will and pick and choose whenever I have time. Takes the pressure off. But I’m not using the TP account for blogging, it’s all set to private.
And your PMs?
I’m a scrupulous email dumper so I don’t have a lot of those.
Try this, arbed–http://www.web2pdfconvert.com/
I also took screenshots, like of my favs from other peeps. Then I decided I couldn’t do it all… But the web2pdf works great for parts of it. Didn’t save all comments, though I don’t know if that was a Vox problem or not.
Oh, I wish I could say I was. Once in a while I’ll go on a deleting spree, but I never really bothered for my PMs. I’d say about 99% of them are not worth saving, so I’m not going to bother. If something had something more personal in it, it was probably something like an address, which I probably wrote down in a more logical place. I lead an all-too-cluttered life, so saving PMs would just add to it – lol. And I agree – you can’t do (or save) everything.
btw jaypo, I don’t seem to be approved for commenting on your blog – I was able to leave one but it awaits moderation
I’ll go check it out!
But doesn’t Edgar have a say in all this?
Sure. His say is “meow”‘.
But it’s the straightforward simplicity that carries the weight in that statement. Meow. Simple, yet elegant and a bit foreboding. Like, be nice or I’ll rub my ass on your nose while you sleep, ninja style.
I went through my PMs and wrote down all contact information (mostly RL addresses) on PAPER. Everything else, I can let go.
I’ve also done as much as I care to do. Render unto VOX – or something like that.
Yeah, sometimes it feels like a heavy lesson on letting go.
